Halo Roasters Participates in Safe Place Program

Thanks to our sponsors

The Springfield Police present Lori Eckhardt, owner of Halo Roasters,
with decals showing Halo's participation with the department’s Safe Place Program.  Halo
Roasters is amongst many local businesses joining this program.

The Safe Place Program was developed by the Seattle Police Department
as a means to encourage the reporting of bias and hate crimes and has
been active in New Jersey.

It involves local businesses partnering with police departments to
offer victims of bias crimes and hate crimes “Safe Places” to remain
while police are contacted and respond to investigate the crimes.

For more information on this program, see the Police Department’s
site, under SAFE PLACE PROGRAM, on the Township’s website.
