Recreation Department Announces February 2024 Calendar for Residents 55+

Springfield residents ages 55+ have plenty of exciting activities to participate in this month! The calendar includes: a variety of games such as bingo (monthly treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside), poker, dominos, rummikub, mahjong, and puzzles; computer lab; open-play pickleball at the Chisholm Community Center (free annual registration required); "Shape Up with Liz" exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-8:00 pm (free annual registration required); lunch bus trip to Charlie Brown's in Scotch Plains (RSVP); Cornell Care Rehabilitation presentation and bagels (RSVP); and Black History Month celebration featuring guest speaker Carol Levin, luncheon catered by Two Fish Five Loaves, and blood pressure screenings with the Union Health Department (RSVP by Friday, February 16).

Free weekday in-Springfield bus service is available from 9:00 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions, such as Presidents' Day, bus maintenance, and other bus trips). Advance reservations are highly encouraged. Please call 973-912-2227.
