Greetings, Springfield Historical Society Members and Friends! The Cannon Ball House will be open on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm, to celebrate Presidents' Day! We will feature our precious letter written by George Washington when he was quartered in Springfield on the 20th of June 1780 - just 3 days before the Battle of Springfield! Due to its fragility, this letter is only on display once per year. There will be artifacts that include several U. S. Presidents, political memorabilia, and many of our favorite local icons that make every visit to the Historic Cannon Ball House worth your time. We hope to see you!
